Services and Sacraments of the Holy Apostolic Celtic Catholic Church

Sacred Moments. Living Grace. A Church that Walks with You.

At the Holy Apostolic Celtic Catholic Church, we believe that the presence of God is woven through all of life, and the Church exists to help people encounter that presence in meaningful, healing, and transformative ways. Through our worship, sacraments, and pastoral services, we seek to be a spiritual home for all who are searching for grace, belonging, and deeper connection.

Rooted in Old Catholic tradition and inspired by the Celtic Christian spirit, our services are both ancient and accessible, reverent yet welcoming, inclusive and deeply personal.

The Seven Sacraments

We honor and celebrate the seven traditional sacraments, understood not as rigid rituals, but as holy encounters with the living Christ:

1. Baptism

The gateway to Christian life, baptism is offered to infants, children, and adults. It is a joyful celebration of belonging—to God, to the Church, and to the community. We use water as a sacred symbol of new life, cleansing, and the Spirit’s movement. All are welcome to the font.

2. Eucharist (Holy Communion)

The heart of our worship. We celebrate the Eucharist regularly with inclusive language, rich symbolism, and deep reverence. The table of Christ is open to all—no matter your background, denomination, or where you are on your journey. We believe the Eucharist is a feast of grace, healing, and union with Christ.

3. Confirmation

This sacrament affirms the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the commitment to walk fully in faith. It is available to youth and adults who wish to make a mature declaration of their faith and deepen their spiritual path. It is often accompanied by spiritual mentoring and prayerful preparation.

4. Reconciliation (Confession)

We offer individual confession and absolution for those seeking healing, forgiveness, and release. While not required, it is a powerful sacrament of grace. We approach it with gentleness, confidentiality, and no judgment. God’s mercy is wider than we can imagine.

5. Anointing of the Sick

Also known as healing prayer or last rites, this sacrament is offered to those who are ill, undergoing medical treatment, or nearing death. Anointing with oil, prayers for peace, and holy presence surround those in need with love, comfort, and spiritual strength.

6. Matrimony

We joyfully celebrate the sacrament of marriage for all couples called to sacred union—including same-sex couples. Our wedding liturgies honor the love, commitment, and spiritual bond between partners, always centered on equality, mutual care, and God’s blessing.

7. Holy Orders

The call to ordained ministry—as Deacon, Priest, or Bishop—is recognized as a sacred vocation. We affirm and ordain people of all genders, married, divorced and single, LGBTQ+ and straight, who are called by God and confirmed by the Church. Formation is offered through prayerful discernment, study, and community life.

Pastoral Services and Spiritual Support

In addition to the sacraments, the Holy Apostolic Celtic Catholic Church offers a wide range of pastoral services to support individuals, couples, families, and communities through every season of life.

Spiritual Direction and Soul Friendship (Anamchara)

Inspired by the Celtic tradition of anamchara, we offer one-on-one spiritual direction—safe, sacred space to explore your faith, questions, joys, and struggles with a trusted guide.

Blessings and Rites of Passage

We offer blessings for:

Homes and sacred spaces

Animals and creation

Milestones (birthdays, coming of age, anniversaries)

Journeys and pilgrimages

New beginnings or times of transition

Funerals and Memorial Services

We honor the sacredness of life and the deep mystery of death. Our funeral and memorial services are tender, personal, and grounded in the hope of resurrection and the eternal love of God.
